Description: Warp-wrapped patterned tunic fabric with open work forming an interlocked triangular design reminiscent of Flagstaff Black-on-white pottery designs. Description: A string dress typical of those worn by young Sinagua girls. The dress is made from cotton and yucca with a waist band/belt made of approximately 32 Z-spun, S-twist, 2-ply strands of dark brown cotton and fringe made as a separate construction. Description: Woven polychrome band or strap with a pattern of white, olive green, and rust colored rectangles and diamonds. The dyes were made using vegetal material and the weave is a plain weave with ten loose z-twisted warp threads. Dimensions: 51.6 x 1.4-1.7 cm. Description: Arrow foreshaft, nearly perfect with only a bit of tip broken off, and part of reed at either end still socketing the other end of foreshaft. The foreshaft is still bound with sinew for holding the foreshaft in the shaft. Dimensions: Approximately 30.5 cm long. Description: Arrow mainshaft, made of reed grass (Phragmites communis) with a notched end and three split feathers intact and still wrapped with sinew. The other end and wooden foreshaft are missing. Description: Hardwood arrowshaft, slender and straight, blunt at one end, with a sharp tip at the other. In hunting small game, wooden tipped arrows are believed to have been frequently used. Description: A sturdy flat wooden paddle with a narrow handle. This artifact would have been used to smooth and thin the walls of pottery vessels made by the paddle-and-anvil method.
