Description: Mortar made from vesicular basalt and plug-shaped pestle of the same material. Dimensions: Mortar diam 3.5 inches (8.89 cm), bowl diam. 2 in (approx. 5 cm), thickness 1.75 in (4.45 cm), depth 1 in (2.54 cm); Pestle 4.5 in (11.43 cm) long. Description: Stone anvil or smoother. The stone is deeply worn around the center for a handle or to facilitate holding. One end smoothed from use. Description: Yucca knife, with red residue, made from slate. Artifacts such as these are also called mescal knives and may have been hafted. Dimensions: 4.5 in x 3.75 in (11.43 x 9.525 cm). Description: Metate made from volcanic rock with a deep groove and a one sided sandstone mano. Dimensions: Metate 5.5 inches from grinding surface to rim; Mano approx. 14 x 8 cm.
