Cultural Period: Ancestral Puebloan, Atsinna Pueblo (A.D. 1275 – mid-1300s) Description: This projectile point is deeply corner to side-notched and is missing the tip; made from a tan, white, and gray mottled chert. Identified by Ashlee Bailey, Northern Arizona University graduate student in Anthropology, as possibly Western Basketmaker II. Dimensions: L 4.5, W 2.5 CM. Provenience: LA 99 (Atsinna Pueblo), RM 1-N, Lower fill. Collection: National Park Service, El Morro. - Corner-notched Projectile Point
Cultural Period: Ancestral Puebloan, Atsinna Pueblo (A.D. 1275 – mid-1300s) Description: Black fine-grained volcanic, corner-notched with an expanding base with reddish soil or ochre stains; stylistically similar to San Pedro and Basketmaker projectile point types, per Ashlee Bailey, Northern Arizona University graduate student in Anthropology. Cultural Period: Ancestral Puebloan, Atsinna Pueblo (A.D. 1275 – mid-1300s) Description: Corner-notched projectile point made on a tan chert with reddish soil or ochre stains; one tang appears broken and the base on the same side appears fractured. According to Ashlee Bailey, Northern Arizona University graduate student in Anthropology, this point resembles Late Archaic, Elko, Basketmaker, and Early Agricultural projectile point forms. According to Ashlee Bailey, Northern Arizona University graduate student in Anthropology, this point may be a San Pedro or Basketmaker point. Dimensions: L 4.5, W 2.0 CM.
