Description: Mortar made from vesicular basalt and plug-shaped pestle of the same material.
Dimensions: Mortar diam 3.5 inches (8.89 cm), bowl diam. 2 in (approx. 5 cm), thickness 1.75 in (4.45 cm), depth 1 in (2.54 cm); Pestle 4.5 in (11.43 cm) long.
Collection: On display at the Montezuma Castle National Monument Visitor Center (Catalog No. MOCA 97 - mortar, and MOCA 264 - pestle).
