Description: A sturdy flat wooden paddle with a narrow handle. This artifact would have been used to smooth and thin the walls of pottery vessels made by the paddle-and-anvil method.

Dimensions: 11.5 inches (29.2 cm) long.

Collection: On display at the Montezuma Castle National Monument Visitor Center (Catalog No. MOCA 442).
