Description: Effigy handle from a miniature ladle, tentatively identified as a deer head. The ears and mouth are denoted by slits.

Barbara Mills, Professor and Chair of Anthropology at the University of Arizona, identifies the handle as redware.

Provenience: LA 99 (Atsinna Pueblo), Refuse mound, Test 2.

Collection: National Park Service, El Morro.
