Subject: Ellsworth Kolb holding an 8x10 camera while suspended by a rope in a narrow crevasse between two cliffs. His brother, Emery Kolb, is straddling the crevasse with a portion of an oak tree on which the rope is attached. This photo was used for promotional purposes and was on the cover of the photograph albums sold in the Kolb Studio shop. An inscription in the lower right-hand corner reads: Copyright 1908 by Kolb Bros. Grand Canyon, Ariz.
