Cultural Period: Ancestral Puebloan, Atsinna Pueblo (A.D. 1275 – mid-1300s) Description: Effigy handle from a miniature ladle, tentatively identified as a deer head. The ears and mouth are denoted by slits. Barbara Mills, Professor and Chair of Anthropology at the University of Arizona, identifies the handle as redware.
