Fort Bowie, Viewed from the Northeast
Subject: The ruins of old Fort Bowie from the hill on the northeast side. It is located in a strategic position on the east slopes of the Chiricahua Mountains overlooking the San Simon Valley. The old Emigrant Road went over a pass in the mountains just north of this site (Butterworth Trail).
